Happy World in Yangon was another Burma highlight for the kids. In general, they amaze me in their tolerance of (or simply inability to see) grime, weirdness, stares from the agape locals and garish kitsch, and this was one of those places that had it all. Upon their insistence, we went there twice. Happy World’s rides seemed overall mild and safe, and both times we were there, Merle and Mathilda were the only ones having a go, yet, with an audience of course. It also had an air conditioned play room, which delivered some brief but good downtime for us weary parents. Massage chairs for $1.50/30 minutes, why not!?
